Join Janet Wall, a local advocate for healthy lands and an expert on noxious weeds and invasive plants, for a hike to learn about non-native and potentially harmful plants in the Issaquah Alps.
This modest hike will start at the East Sunset Way trailhead and complete a loop up onto the plateau and end up back where it started. Along the way Janet will help you identify invasive plants such as English ivy, English holly, tansy ragwort, black berries, scotch broom, and more. Janet will also discuss proper removal. You will be hiking and learning and seeing, not removing invasive plants yourself.
Registration is required.
